July 20/16 Gotta Catch em' all! Had an amazing day at Sylvan Lake's Centennial Park, chalking it up and inspiring lots of kids! Sylvan Lake is doing a series of art themed days for next few Wednesdays! The best part of the day was seeing all the kids get excited to create their own Pokemon drawings, drawing some of their favourites! I showed them some new techniques that they all wanted to try - amazing how a rubber glove can be a sought out item! :) Thanks for inviting me down and would love to come again. 

Chalkboards for Ripe Tomato Pizza Calgary

It's been a really busy past few months! if you don't already, please follow me on Facebook and Instagram where I post the latest and greatest projects! 

It was really great to work with the crew at Ripe Tomato Pizza on a couple recent items for their Marda Loop location. Created their menu board as you see above, as well as the mural on the chalkboard above the kitchen. 

 Got to do a cool illustration that will be printed inside their pizza boxes

Custom Illustration Chalkboard Signage for Calgary Business, J Webb Wine Merchant

Updated the chalkboard at J. Webb Wine Merchant in Glenmore Landing, adding fresh colours to liven up the room - including an illustration of their new Farmers Market location! Worked with the team on a layout that suited their needs. Left space so they can hand write weekly promotions, "J Man's Quotes" and events. 
  

 

Van Gogh Starry Night Star Wars Chalk Painting

A unique commission - a person requested to get this piece done up as a gift for a friend. How thoughtful! The client supplied the framed chalkboard and I did my best to draw my version of the Starry Night Star Wars art. Great experience experimenting with chalk with Van Gogh inspired style mark-making.

Congratulations to one of my favourite Calgary venues, Q Haute Cuisine on achieving "Top five Calgary restaurants & Top 100 in Canada" according to Open Table

Willow Park Wines Chalk Boards

Recently I have been adding some life to chalkboards above the beer fridges at Willow Park Wines and Spirits! Located at the main location, South Calgary in the Willow Park business mall. Great way to promote upcoming events and feature products at the establishment.

Planet Organic Chalkboard Menus

Recently had the opportunity to create some menu chalk boards for Planet Organic, take a look!

The first three here are set up at the 130th location, 4' x 3' in size.

These next ones are for the Royal Oak, Calgary location, 3' x 3' in size.

Back to school board for this little guy, his mom was so proud! 

I designed and drew these wedding signage boards and printed Table seating chart (200+ guest list) for lovely couple Kim and Steve 

 To inspire their teenage sons, this piece was done on the chalk wall of a kitchen pantry :)

Medicine Hat Chalk Festival, 2015

I made the front page news without having to commit a crime! :)

The Downtown Medicine Hat organization invited me down to their first ever Chalk Festival Weekend, August 12th-13th. There were approximately 16 local and out of town artists who came down for the event to draw. They closed off two blocks and had everyone create on tempra primed sections of the road. I chose to draw an image of a bird I created originally as an acrylic canvas painting.  Great experience overall and hope they do it again next year. 

Chalkboard Table Seating Chart at Q Haute Cuisine, Calgary

I have the lovely opportunity to work with Cheryl and Lance on their Table Seating Chart, on the large chalk wall at Q Haute Cuisine! They went with their favourite movie titles as the table names, how memorable and creative. Congratulations again and thank you for having me create for your big day!

Chalk Menu Boards for Red 1's Kitchen, Downtown Calgary

Had the pleasure to work with a new startup cafe - lunch spot in downtown Calgary, Red 1's Kitchen (606 - 4th Street SW) http://red1skitchen.com/ Enjoyed lunch, here and loved how fresh everything was. I wish I worked nearby so I could come here more often! They are inside the office building by the elevators, so a bit hidden and well worth checking out!
